A same-day cleaning in Los Angeles has a short list of requirements, and nearly all of them sit on your side of the booking. You need to book as early in the day as you can and give an accurate address, access details and parking instructions. You also need to tell the company about anything unusual, such as pet waste, smoke residue or wildfire ash, and clear the surfaces you want cleaned. Do those four things and a same-day visit usually goes as smoothly as a booking made a week ahead.
This guide covers what to prepare, what to disclose, what a rushed visit can and cannot cover, and how it works across the neighborhoods we serve, from Santa Monica to Long Beach.

Table of contents
TL;DR
- Book early in the day. Same-day service depends on open schedule slots, so the earlier you ask, the better your odds.
- Give complete access details: parking, stairs or elevator, gate codes, building rules and how the crew gets in.
- Disclose pet waste, smoke residue, wildfire ash and heavy grime before the visit, not at the door.
- Send photos for anything beyond a light refresh, so the right number of cleaners and the right equipment show up.
- Pick the right service level. A same-day standard clean is a refresh, not a deep clean or a post-construction clean.
What “same-day” really means
There is no law or industry standard that defines same-day cleaning. It is a scheduling promise, and every company words it differently. Across the results you see for this search, the common thread is that availability decides everything: same-day service is typically contingent on openings in the schedule, and some companies say a crew can arrive within a window of a few hours once a slot exists.
That is how we see it too. A same-day clean is an existing crew with a gap in its day. It is not a separate, faster product. That is why the requirements below matter: each one shortens the time between your request and a crew at your door.
You can book instantly online or by phone. We charge by the job, and payment comes after the service is completed.
The requirements, one by one
1. A complete address and a service type
Tell us the full address, unit number, and whether the place is a house, condo, apartment or office. Size matters: bedrooms, bathrooms and approximate square footage let us assign the right team. If you are unsure which service you need, say what you are trying to achieve (guests arriving tonight, a landlord inspection tomorrow morning) and we will point you to the right level.

2. A realistic time window
Say when you need the work finished, not only when you want the crew to start. A clean that must be done by 5 p.m. is scheduled differently than a clean that can happen any time today. If your window is tight, tell us up front so we can be honest about whether it fits.
3. Access, parking and building rules
This is the requirement people forget most, and in Los Angeles it costs the most time. Cleaning guidance for the city recommends sending parking instructions, entry arrangements, stairs or elevator details and building access rules before the visit, and confirming any parking charge in the quote. We agree. A Koreatown high-rise with a loading-dock reservation and a Brentwood hillside house with street parking only are different logistics problems, and the crew needs to know which one it is facing.
Have these ready:
- Gate or door codes, or a plan for who lets the crew in
- Where to park, and whether guest parking costs money
- Whether there is an elevator, and any reservation rules for it
- Whether you are home, and if not, where pets will be
- Any alarm instructions
4. Clear surfaces
Cleaners clean surfaces; they are not a tidying service. Clear counters, tables and floors of loose items, laundry and dishes you want dealt with. Anything left on a surface slows the crew down or gets skipped. If clutter is the real problem, our organizing service is a better fit than a rushed clean.

5. Water, power and a working space
We bring supplies and equipment. You need working water and electricity, and the property should be reachable. If something is out of order, like a broken water heater or a locked utility room, mention it.
Hazards you must disclose before booking
Urgent bookings are where people are most tempted to skip the awkward details. Don’t. Professional services often require you to disclose conditions such as wildfire ash, smoke residue or pet waste before the booking, because the company has to judge whether standard cleaning is safe for its staff or whether the job needs a specialized assessment. If a hazard goes undisclosed, the crew may refuse the job on arrival, and you lose the slot you rushed to get.
What to flag:
- Smoke or ash. After a nearby fire, tell us how the residue looks and where it is. Heavy residue may call for more than a standard visit.
- Pet waste or heavy pet hair. Accidents, litter issues and shedding all change the time estimate. Our pet hair cleaning cost guide explains how we quote it.
- Mold, sewage or biohazards. These are outside a normal cleaning scope. Tell us, and expect a conversation about the right specialist.
- Recent renovation dust. Fine dust from drywall or sanding is a different job. See the section on construction below.
One note on construction dust: in lead-safety guidance for public housing, HUD advises waiting at least an hour after work stops so dust can settle before final cleaning. If your home or unit was built before the 1978 lead paint ban and has had recent sanding or demolition, say so when you call.
What the cleaners need on arrival
Think of the first ten minutes of a visit. A crew that walks in to a clear entry, a known parking spot and a short list of priorities spends its paid time on cleaning. A crew that spends that time on phone calls, searching for parking and moving objects does not.
A useful habit is a short priority list. Write down the three areas that matter most, for example the guest bathroom, the kitchen counters and the entry. If time runs tight, those get done first. We are a vetted, trained team and we will cover the whole scope when time allows, but a clear priority list means the outcome you care about is never the thing that gets squeezed.
Send photos when the job is not routine
For property managers and anyone handling a turnover, the advice is to send condition photos along with a room-by-room task list when booking. Photos help a company allocate the right number of cleaners and the right equipment for the level of grime, which matters when a turnover deadline is firm. It works for homeowners too: three phone photos of the kitchen, the worst bathroom and the floors take a minute and prevent a mismatched crew.
Know what “clean” you are asking for
In real estate, the phrase “broom clean” has a defined meaning that is lighter than most people expect. If you are leaving a property and wondering how thorough the cleaning must be, this explanation of broom clean condition helps you set expectations. If a lease or sale contract uses stricter wording, such as “professionally cleaned,” book a move-out clean rather than a quick refresh.
What same-day cleaning covers, and what it does not
The single biggest source of disappointment is a mismatch between the job someone books and the job they imagine. A same-day appointment is usually a standard clean. A typical one covers:
- Bathroom cleaning and sanitizing
- Kitchen counters and surfaces
- Dusting of visible surfaces
- Vacuuming and mopping
- Trash removal
It does not cover buildup that took months to form. Baked-on oven grease, soap scum in grout, inside-cabinet cleaning and neglected baseboards belong to a deep clean. You can read what that includes on our deep cleaning page.
Here is a quick way to choose:
| Your situation | Best fit | Same-day realistic? |
|---|---|---|
| Guests arriving tonight, home is mostly tidy | Standard clean | Often, depending on openings |
| Haven’t cleaned in months, visible buildup | Deep clean | Ask; may need a longer slot |
| Keys handed over tomorrow | Move-out clean | Ask; depends on size and condition |
| Renovation just finished | Post-construction clean | Rarely; needs scoping |
| Short-term rental guest checks in today | Airbnb turnover | Often for light turnovers |
The times in the last column are not guarantees. We confirm what is possible when you book.
Special cases: turnovers, listings and construction
Property managers and landlords
Turnovers have the hardest deadlines. Send the unit number, the move-out time, a photo set and a task list. Tell us whether the unit is vacant, whether utilities are on and how the crew gets keys. If the unit needs paint touch-ups or repairs first, sequence them before the clean, not after.
Airbnb and vacation-rental hosts
Same-day jobs for hosts are usually a gap between a late checkout and an early check-in. Share the checkout and check-in times, the linen plan and any restocking rules. For longer stays, a mid-stay refresh may suit better; our guide to mid-stay refresh pricing for LA hosts covers it.
Real estate agents
A pre-listing clean before a showing or photo shoot is a classic urgent request. Give us the showing time, the rooms that will be photographed and any staging furniture that must not be moved.
Contractors and builders
Post-construction cleaning is the job least suited to a rushed visit. Dust has to settle before final cleaning, debris must be gone, and the scope depends on how much was built. We would rather scope it properly than promise a same-day finish. The post-construction cost guide lists the factors that drive time and price.
Pricing and quotes for urgent jobs
We do not publish a flat price for same-day cleaning, because the price depends on the home and the scope. We quote by the job and you pay after the service is completed. What you should do is get a written quote that states the service type, the size assumptions and any parking charge.
When you compare quotes, remember what a wage figure means. The City of Los Angeles minimum wage is $18.42 an hour as of July 1, 2026. That is a floor for what an employer pays a worker. It is not a service rate. A professional rate also has to cover supplies, insurance and overhead, a distinction local cleaning experts also stress when people compare hourly numbers. A suspiciously low quote for an urgent job is a reason to ask what is and is not included.
Questions worth asking any company, including us:
- Is the price per job or per hour, and is there a minimum?
- Are the cleaners employees who have been vetted and trained?
- What happens if something is missed? We back our work with a satisfaction guarantee.
- When do I pay?
- Is there a parking or access charge?

Where we send same-day crews
We are based in Southern California and serve Los Angeles, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Koreatown, Los Feliz, Mid-City, West Adams and Baldwin Hills. On the Westside we cover Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Westwood, West LA, Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Venice, Marina Del Rey and Culver City. Toward the South Bay and the coast, we serve Inglewood, Westchester, El Segundo, Hawthorne, Gardena, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Carson and Long Beach, and we also cover Burbank.
Local knowledge changes the logistics. A Venice walk-street bungalow, a Santa Monica condo with a tight loading zone and a Long Beach apartment with assigned parking each ask for different arrival planning. Because our crews work in these areas daily, we know where traffic stacks up and which building types need extra notice. Traffic and distance still affect same-day availability, so a request from near an open crew’s route is easier to fit than one across town at 4 p.m.
Our perspective
We have seen the same pattern many times: a same-day request goes wrong rarely because of the cleaning and almost always because of the information. A gate code that arrives late, a dog nobody mentioned, a unit that was supposed to be empty and wasn’t. None of these is hard to fix, but all of them cost time that a same-day clean does not have.
So we ask for more details than people expect. We would rather spend two minutes on the phone than send a crew to a door where it cannot start. We also say no to the wrong kind of rush. If a job needs a deep clean or post-construction scope, we will tell you honestly, and offer the fastest correct option instead of a fast incorrect one.
Our approach rests on simple things: instant online booking, job-based pricing you pay after the work is done, vetted and trained local cleaners, clear communication, and a satisfaction guarantee. Same-day service is just those habits under time pressure.

Summary
Same-day cleaning in Los Angeles depends on open schedule slots, so book early and be specific. Prepare access and parking details, clear surfaces, send photos for anything beyond a light refresh and disclose hazards like smoke residue, ash or pet waste before the visit. Choose the service level that matches the real condition of the place, because a same-day visit is normally a standard clean. Get the quote in writing, and read what it includes, not just the number.

FAQ
How late in the day can I book a same-day cleaning?
It depends on crew availability, so there is no universal cutoff. Booking in the morning gives the most options, and an afternoon request may still work if a slot has opened. Call or book online and we will confirm what is possible.
Do I need to be home for a same-day cleaning?
No, as long as the crew can get in. Share a door code, a lockbox plan or a building contact, plus parking and alarm details. Tell us where pets will be.
Can I get a deep clean or post-construction clean the same day?
Sometimes a deep clean fits, depending on size and condition. Post-construction cleaning rarely does, because dust must settle and the scope has to be assessed first. Send photos and we will tell you the fastest correct option.
What should I disclose before a same-day booking?
Tell us about pet waste, heavy pet hair, smoke residue, wildfire ash, mold and recent renovation dust. These affect safety and scope. Undisclosed hazards can lead a crew to decline the job on arrival.
